How to search for words with this tool


You can search for 'whole phrases' or p'arts' of words - the system will look for exactly what you enter!And words with accents are also found, so 'a' is the same as 'à' when searching. So 'sùil' or 'suil' finds 'sùilean'

How to search - an example

I was looking for the word 'spaideil' which I heard on 'BBC Alba' and I knew we'd come across it.But I didn't know how to spell it, just to say it.
So I guessed and searched for 'spateal'. Wrong!
Next I guessed, 'spadeal' - also nothing found. Euh Euh, I heard Vernon Kay say again!

So then I cut it down further - that brings a larger list of results. So when I entered 'spa', up came 'spaideil'. You can see where I was going wrong.

Adding Words

If you wish to add words, please DO search for them first to ensure they're not already there. Equally any problems you encounter entering words, please let me know at the email below. I'll do what I can to make it easier.
If you need a new SOURCE for ('a cleachdadh ann an') to be entered, please let me know and I'll do that.
