Add stuff  Read Mineachadh by Course and Modal

The aim is to help quickly look up those rules that are tricky when learning Gaidhlig via the SMO Inntrigidh and Adhartais. This will not be open to the public, but only to those who have already completed the course. Sorry copyright reasons.

Enter word or part of word to search for

Sortit

You can search for 'whole phrases' or p'arts' of words - the system will look for exactly what you enter! However, at the moment 'a' is NOT the same as 'à' when searching. So 'sùil' WILL while 'suil' WILL NOT find 'sùilean'

I do intend to change this unless it proves to be a useful feature.

How to search - an example

I was looking for the word 'spaideil' which I heard on 'BBC Alba' and I knew we'd come across it in Ulpan. But I didn't know how to spell it, just to say it.
So I guessed and searched for 'spateal'. Wrong!
Next I guessed, 'spadeal' - also nothing found. Euh Euh, I heard Vernon Kay say again!

So then I cut it down further - that brings a larger list of results. So when I entered 'spa', up came 'spaideil'. You can see where I was going wrong.

Once you've got the word - look it up

Then I went to the dictionary to look up what it means, or to the Ulpan unit to find out how it was used.

Here's a link to Faclair Beag dictionary 'here' - a really useful dictionary (opens new window). Note this is actually TWO dictionaries, as you get 'Dwelly's answers' in the right column.

If you spot mistakes of any kind on this site, but especially with any of the ulpan phrases, please DO tell me. It's always hard to spot your own mistakes and I'd appreciate the opportunity to correct any howlers.
